PARSONS, KANSAS – Labette Health welcomes Shawn Zimbrunes, M.D., an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, to its medical staff.

Dr. Zimbrunes received his medical degree in 2013 from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC, where he was Chief of Resident Education. Some of his additional specialized training includes minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, maternal fetal medicine, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and family planning.

“Every woman has her own unique set of healthcare concerns that will often change throughout her lifetime. My goal with every patient is to provide a safe and caring environment in which we can address her specific health concerns, and together create a plan that is individualized for her,” said Dr. Zimbrunes. “I’m thrilled to be joining Labette Health because I believe that in addition to offering high-quality healthcare to this community, they do so with the same level of dedication and compassion that I value in my own practice.”

Dr. Zimbrunes is practicing with Dr. Roseanne Olmstead and Stephanie M. Thompson, APRN-WHNP-BC, in Labette Health’s Advanced OB/GYN Clinic. This distinction recognizes hospitals for delivering quality specialty care safely and effectively, based on objective measures developed with input from the medical community.
