Labette Health will open a new medical clinic at 607 E. 4th Street in Altamont. Labette Health has hired M. Cathy Swearengin, APRN, to provide family practice care at the clinic.

"We are pleased to be able to provide residents in Altamont with the primary care services they need and deserve," said Doug Stacy, Vice President Labette Medical Group.

The Altamont Clinic will be the fifth operated by Labette Health outside of Parsons. The other clinics are in St. Paul, Cherryvale, and two in Independence. "We've been well supported by the residents in southeast Kansas and it's an honor to be able to do the same for the Altamont community by bringing nationally recognized healthcare back to their community," said Stacy.

The Altamont Clinic will be opening in January 2017. In the meantime, previous patients of Swearengin's may contact the Labette Health Family Practice Clinic at 620.820.5800 for medical care.
