PARSONS, KANSAS – Attendees can prepare to be dazzled during an evening of elegance and splendor as the Labette Health Foundation hosts the “Growing Together Gala” on September 30 to celebrate many years of trusted healthcare.

“We have a lot to celebrate,” said Rick Hines, Foundation President. “Healthcare in our communities affects us all. This is a cause everyone can get behind to promote even further advancements. It’s always an elegant and exciting evening of food, fun and entertainment,” said Hines.

This year the Foundation is selling chances to win a customized Napa Valley Getaway for $100 per entry. The trip, valued at $2,300 includes hotels, tours and roundtrip airfare for two on Southwest Airlines. Winner will be announced at the Gala and winner need not be present to win.

When Labette Health opened in 1961, more than 12,000 people came to get a look at their new hospital. On July 4, 2017, Labette Health opened the Independence Healthcare Center that includes an emergency department, rural health clinic, advanced imaging, laboratory as well as the Cancer Center of Kansas. Labette Health has continually upgraded its facility and equipment to provide the most medically advanced and patient-focused care possible.
