Position Summary:
The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT,) to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and proficiency in using radiologic equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and special radiographic exams, ensuring high-quality images are obtained in a timely manner.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate radiology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Review and verify patient information and order accuracy before proceeding with imaging.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting imaging procedures and results.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
- Ensure proper maintenance of radiology equipment, report malfunctions, and follow up with necessary repairs.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulations to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active certification or eligible to sit for exam as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- State licensure as required by Kansas.
- Current CPR certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical radiology setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
