Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our hospital's Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support and expertise across various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare environment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts in alignment with hospital policies.
- Compliance: Ensure the hospital adheres to all local, state, and federal employment laws and healthcare regulations. Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable standards.
- Performance Management: Support managers and supervisors in employee evaluations, performance improvement plans, and corrective actions. Monitor and track performance review processes.
- Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment, questions, and changes. Liaise with benefits providers and handle benefits-related queries.
- Training & Development: Facilitate employee training programs, including orientation and ongoing professional development. Ensure staff compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- HR Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and communicating hospital HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Leave Management: Manage employee leaves, including FMLA, disability, and medical leaves, in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
