Summary
Detail-oriented and organized professional with experience in administrative support for home health operations. Skilled in maintaining accurate patient records for billing, preparing and following up on claims, and completing month-end reporting. Proficient in handling clerical duties such as routing mail, answering calls, and managing electronic health records, including OASIS data entry (start of care, transfers, resumptions, and discharges). Experienced in obtaining prior authorizations, coordinating with physicians for signatures and required documentation, and ensuring compliance with Medicaid and other regulatory requirements. Adept at managing new patient referrals, assisting with chart reviews and coding, and supporting payroll and supply management. Strong ability to coordinate meetings, facilitate communication between departments, and ensure seamless office operations.
Education & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or billing role, preferably in home health or healthcare settings.
- Proficiency in word processing, data entry, and medical billing software.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and home health regulations.
