Description:
As a Food & Nutrition Float, you’ll help deliver high-quality meals and exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors. This versatile role covers various duties including food prep, tray assembly, café support, and sanitation—perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare and assemble patient meal trays based on specific dietary needs and restrictions.
- Deliver meals to patient rooms in a timely, courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and dishware.
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Operate dish machines and properly handle all utensils and meal carts.
- Communicate with nursing and kitchen staff to ensure accurate meal delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous food service experience, especially in healthcare, is a plus.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, push food carts, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- ServSafe Certification (preferred or required within 90 days of hire)
