Description:

This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and systems to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on hospital equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospital policies
• Assist in emergency maintenance situations as needed
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Collaborate with other departments to address facility needs

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or technical training in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Ability to be on-call for emergency repairs (as needed)
